Cardboard takeaway

Installation, 2017

Two cardboard blocks with PET strapping, 100 × 100 × 400cm and 300 × 100 × 100cm, cardboard box, 25 × 35 × 40cm with approx. 400 photo key chains, each 4,5 × 5,5cm, cardboard wall lettering, 400 × 30 × 1,0cm

The installation comprises four spatially and materially connected elements. Two large cardboard blocks frame the onsite setting. They consist of collected food transport boxes and are pressed together with PET strapping. A cardboard wall lettering ‚Trans Global Mega Taste in Secret Cardboard-Takeaway Mix‘ runs diagonally from top to bottom along a wall. The words used therefor are taken from the cardboard box letterings and mixed. At the lower end of the lettering a small build cardboard box filled with approx. 400 photo key chains is presented on the ground. The key chains contain photo studio reproductions of the collected food cardboard boxes and are free to take away. The elements of the installation describe a compression, an image reuse and going apart of the images in use.
